Dear CrossPointe,

The Word of God is so precious. I love these words from the hymn "How Firm a Foundation" that we sing often:

How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord

Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word

What more can He say than to you He hath said

To you who unto Jesus for refuge have fled

Our text this Sunday, John 16:16–24, contains a promise from Jesus to his anxious disciples that is a firm foundation for trembling saints—their sorrow will turn into joy.
