Dear CrossPointe,

This Sunday we’ll look at Mark 5:1-20, in which Jesus exercises his authority over a demonic legion by casting the troop of demons out of a shackled man, into a herd of pigs, over a cliff and into the sea.

What a scene! But maybe even more striking than the pig slaughter are the various reactions to Jesus’ authority by the demons, the townspeople and the possessed-turned-free man. There is much for us to think about in this text, so take some time to read it before Sunday!
