Dear CrossPointe,

After further discussion, the elders have determined that we serve our community and vulnerable members of our church best by canceling CrossPointe’s worship gathering on Sunday, March 15. All activities scheduled to take place in the church building between now and March 21 will likewise be rescheduled for a later date.

We will address the status of gathering on Sunday, March 22, early next week, but, as with so many things right now, this situation remains fluid. Please check CrossPointe’s website and social media channels for further updates, and be sure to subscribe to our enewsletter.

Gathering together is an essential element of Christian worship and discipleship, and we as Christ’s followers cannot allow fear or panic to drive us. However, in the interests of caring for the vulnerable among us and slowing the spread of COVID-19 in our region we feel it is a matter of Christian love to worship the Lord in our homes this Sunday with joy and thanksgiving. Read God’s Word together, pray for one another and our community, and sing to the Lord with members of your household. For that matter, you can find plenty of sermons on our website and Vimeo as well.

In the meantime, let’s be deliberate about caring for one another and our neighbors. If you know someone who lives alone, please reach out. Check on soldiers, military families, and college students whose lives are likely being disrupted. Lord-willing, we’ll gather together again sooner rather than later, and we can praise the Lord for the work he’s done in and through us!

Grace & Peace,

The Elders of CrossPointe
