“In Christ” (Eph. 1:1–14)
Tribe,
We’re set to study Ephesians beginning this Sunday. As we look at Paul’s
letter to the Ephesian church, I think you’ll find this to be one of the
richest and most beautiful books in the Bible.
It’s filled with deep, monumental truths—every sentence could be a sermon.
(In fact, this Sunday’s text really is one sentence in the Greek!) We’ll
have to slow down and delve into this letter, taking time to see application
for ourselves and life as a church family. It will take a few weeks to work
through these first 14 verses!
So show up on Sunday ready to scoot up to the table and feast on some
amazing words. Here are a few things you can do to make some room in your
stomach (just to carry the Thanksgiving Day metaphor):
* Read Ephesians 1:1-14 (sermon text).
* Read Romans 8:28-39.
* Pray through Ephesians 1:15-23 both for yourself and CrossPointe.
* Pray for and invite a friend or acquaintance to come, see and trust in
Jesus.
Grace and peace,
Brad
